A friend of mine, a doctor, had been treating a patient with arthritis for years, without much improvement.

One day the patient walked in and declared that she was cured! Reason – she showed the doctor a copper bracelet she was wearing.

'Wonderful! Buy another one,' the doctor told her, 'Just to keep the arthritis from returning.'

He explained to me that the copper had no physical effect on her arthritis. 'But it has a tremendous effect on her brain.'
