I have used up my desperation. The quota is gone and none remains. I keenly await the delivery of my replacement allocation of contentment. Some days I despair of it ever arriving at all.
i was desperate to see her, but she lived so far away, in another country in another land.
i worked and worked, taking night shifts, saving money, until i had what i needed to fly out and track her down.
but i thought, »give a man a fish...« and invested the money elsewhere, purchasing my own spy satelite.
now i lie awake at night, watching her on my black and white monitor.
